Governor's Executive Order, 3.15.29
Dear Bedford Families ~
The best laid plans…
As you may have heard, the Governor issued an executive order that has closed NH schools for the next 3 weeks. The first week (3/16-3/20), our schools will be preparing for remote learning. Starting 3/23 through 4/3, the Bedford School District will be implementing remote learning. I suspect we will receive guidance from the state regarding steps after 4/3/20. More on that later.
I have a few quick FAQs for you while we recalibrate.
- What if I am no longer getting your emails?
Message Sender is the software that we use to send mass communication. They are currently over capacity, we believe. As a result, we will continue to post our messages to Facebook and at www.sau25.net under “Covid-19 Updates.”
- How should I go about getting my questions answered?
Consider this week a “snow day week.” Teachers will be planning and administrators will be working to find answers to all of the questions that we have as a community.
- Will you still be providing breakfast and lunch during the planning week?
Yes. That has not changed. We are also working towards finding ways to deliver, if necessary.
- Will school offices and health offices be open during the planning week?
Yes. Always call ahead if you need to go to the school.
- Is this a good time for me to “opt in” to district text messages?
Yes. Text messaging is often more reliable than email during high volume use. Simply text “y” or “yes” to 67587.
On a personal note, I am so grateful for all of the support, compassion, and kindness our community has shown during this difficult time. A special thank you to each and every one of you!
Mike (Superintendent & Instant Communications Coordinator)
